This is a personal author website. I collect as little as possible, I don't sell your information, and the only thing I'll ever do with your email is send you news you asked for. You can leave the list at any time.
Who's behind this site

What I collect
- Newsletter sign-ups. If you join the mailing list, I collect the name and email address you submit, so I can send you updates.
- Messages you send. If you send me a message through my contact form, I keep your message and address so I can reply.
- Basic technical data. Like most websites, my host records standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited) to keep the site running and secure.
- Analytics data. If you accept analytics cookies, Statcounter collects usage data (such as IP address, browser type, referring site, and pages viewed) so I can see how the site is used. If you decline, this doesn't run.
Cookies
This site uses a small essential cookie to remember your cookie choice. It also uses analytics cookies set by Statcounter to measure site traffic — but only if you select "Accept" on the cookie banner. If you select "Decline," no analytics cookies are set. I don't run advertising cookies. You can change your mind anytime by clearing cookies in your browser. Some third-party services below may also set their own cookies when their content loads.
The services I rely on
- Netlify hosts the website and records standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited).
- Google Fonts may be loaded to display the site's typography, which can involve a request to Google's servers.
- Kit stores subscriber names and email addresses to deliver the newsletter.
- Jotform powers my website contact form. Jotform securely processes and stores the information you provide (including your name, email address, and message) in accordance with their Privacy Policy.
- Statcounter is the web analytics service I use to understand how the site is used. When you accept analytics cookies, it sets a cookie and collects usage data (such as IP address, browser type, referring site, and pages viewed) to produce visit statistics. It loads only after you accept, and you can also opt out directly via Statcounter's opt-out page.
Each of these has its own privacy practices, and your data is handled under their terms when it passes through them.
How I use your information
Only to send the updates you signed up for, to reply to you, and to keep the site working. That's it. I don't sell, rent, or trade your information.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe from the newsletter anytime using the link in any newsletter email.
- Ask me to show, correct, or delete the personal information I hold about you.
- Decline analytics cookies using the "Decline" button on the cookie banner (or opt out via Statcounter), and clear cookies anytime in your browser.
